ROMVIJAY BIOOTECH is an ISO-9001.2000 certified company established in the year 1996 with the sole aim of producing quality bio products like biofertilizers, bio pesticides and bio compost mixes and providing them to the farmers at a reasonable cost affordable by them. In the beginning direct sales were made to the farmers by contacting them personally, appraising of the benefits and utility of the products, their safety and eco friendly nature.
While the Government was keen on educating the farmers on these low cost inputs through the extension wing of the Department of Agriculture and state Agricultural universities reaching only a small section of the farmers ROMVIJAY BIOOTECH has popularized and created an awareness on the use of bio products to a larger area in a short span.
ROMVIJAY BIOOTECH is one of the earliest units in this field in this part of the country which not only oriented towards business but at the same time propagated the ideals of use of bio products to minimize the use of inorganic fertilizers and pesticides so that safe agro commodities with no pesticide residues are produced and sold to consumers. Through participation in exhibitions, seminars, farmers meetings, ROMVIJAY has driven the idea of bio products use in the minds of farmers.
With the modest beginning meeting the requirement of farmers in and around the factory ROMVIJAY BIOOTECH has grown to what is today producing carrier based as well as liquid formulations of the bio products to meet the requirement of other states in India. With a fermenter capacity of 2000 litres ROMVIJAY has the potential to produce 3 tons of bio products per day.
Attracted by the infrastructural facilities ROMVIJAY BIOOTECH has been recognized as a centre for pursuing research for PhD degree in Microbiology by the Annamalai University. Further both undergraduate and Post graduate students from several institutions in the state like TNAU, SASTRA, Thanthai Rover college –Perambalur, The community college of Pondicherry, undertake project works at ROMVIJAY.
Above all the Department of Biotechnology, GOI, New Delhi has recognized ROMVIJAY BIOOTECH for the training of the M.Sc Biotechnology graduates and deputes minimum five candidates a year. ROMVIJAY BIOOTECH is a growing one actively involved in finding out new elite cultures in the already proven technologies and also continuously searches for newer organisms that can benefit the mankind.
